Overrated: Brogues.
What do you like about fashion: I like to see how ordinary people interpret runway trends into their every day lives – I think that’s really interesting – because I’m more a fan of personal style than anything else. Fashion can be a bit weird but style gets me excited about clothes. It’s inspirational.
What do you dislike about fashion: The pressure to keep up with trends. And people who are obnoxious about labels.

Stomping ground: Lower Manhattan.
Favorite store: H&M
Favorite restaurant: I love Mexican and MaryAnn’s in the East Village is the bomb diggity – delicious food, huge portions, amazing margaritas.
Favorite museum: Guggenheim.
Best place(s) to hear music: Tammany Hall, Bowery Ballroom, the Roseland. The Bell House in Brooklyn is a great little spot too but very out of the way and it’s a bit dodge to get there at night.
Go-to shopping destination: West Village.
Favorite online retail shop: La Garconne, Net-a-Porter.
Favorite domestic travel spot: I’ve only been to Florida and South Carolina but I’m hoping to get to Boston in the next couple of months.
Favorite international travel spot: I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve been to Spain but sadly I’ve never been to Barcelona or Madrid. I would love to travel to either of those cities. Alternatively, home to Ireland. It’s so beautiful but the weather is so crap.
Places you love to go in your city: I love to walk along the water in Lower Manhattan (from Tribeca right around to the Brooklyn Bridge) because it’s so peaceful and quiet and full of little parks and random sculptures.
Best thing about your neighborhood: If I ever run out of Irish teabags, I know where to find them.
Favorite city: New York, New York. Duh.
Life
Guilty pleasures: Reality telly and Justin Bieber.
Constant companion: My Blackberry.
Talismans: My boarding pass from when I moved back to NYC in February ’09. It never leaves my wallet.
First thing you do every morning: Hit the snooze button.
Favorite ritual: I don’t know about favorite but I always always always wash my face with Cetaphil every morning and evening.
Biggest indulgence: Nonfat pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks.
Pet peeve: Rude, ignorant people.
